  1. I know this response is way too late for your Christmas post but hopefully it will help someone out down the road. We got married in October 2007 and gave as a favor to all of our guests (each couple) a cookbook filled with recipes that we have created, found, tweaked, plus many old family recipes from both of our families. We used G&R Publishing http://www.gandrpublishing.com/ and from start to finish was about a month and a half. You enter alll of your recipes online, they send you back a proof for editing. Glossy color coverstock back and front with a spiral binding. We ended up being very happy with them and I think they worked out to about $7 each in the end. It enabled us to personalize the cookbook, which was important to us for our wedding. But I do like the look of the Tastebook, more professional. So just another option for someone looking for the gift type cookbook, not the please keep me organized cookbook.
  2. Indeed! Is that on the regular menu or a special?
  3. I'd also have to agree on Thai Pilin for good quick take-out (there are about 10 tables inside, but hard to get a seat at lunch), and Sushi Yama in Vienna. We've also really enjoyed The Essential Grille (easy to get to from our side of Tysons). I've been lucky and have at least a couple of adventurous, non-chain eaters in my office, but if we have a large group there are enough "meat & potato-ers" that we have to go chain (think of chicken and cashews as exotic...). I still have yet to try Konami and Shamshiry, but they are on my list when we can break awy from the chain lunches!
  4. Good food delivered is definitely slim pickin's here in Tysons. Both Neisha Thai (nice alternative to chinese) and Bombay Tandoor (evening only) will deliver. Plenty of good take-out but delivery is rough. Hope you're on the mend! Wendy
  5. Has anyone been to check out the Essential Grille in Tysons? It's in the old Fedora Cafe space on Rte 7, the menu looks fresh, organic, healthy. And a bonus, it looks like they've kept the outdoor seating area. Hoping to check it out this week, but was trying to see if anyone else had been? www.theessentialgrille.net Enjoying reading everyone's posts, discovered this site thru the CP article, I'm a chowhounder as well. Thanks! Wendy
