Hey everyone, Not sure if this is where I start awareness conversations but has anyone heard about the seafood distributor who got shut down by the FDA a couple of weeks ago for food safety violations? I have a few friends who are chefs and some who own restaurants In the DC area and they told me about this. The FDA found that the Congressional Seafood Company failed to follow its' Seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations in handling of products like raw seafoods: tuna, crab, etc. Here's the article that was discussed... http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm196967.htm I don't know how many restaurants and hotels in the area are buying from this place but I would be careful. Just an fyi!

I hate to be a dim sum snob but I have been to places in California, into many Chinese populated areas, and have sat amongst the masses of dim sum critics and connoisseurs. Some say dim sum is dim sum but Jade Asian Restaurant in Flushing, Queens is fantastic. They do the carts, and the rest of the song and dance, and I have always had a great time, great food and great services...I also speak a little Chinese so maybe that helped a little If you're in Queens, I recommend. I have no been to the place recommended above but also look forward to it.
