  1. Not really purple, but it does sound interesting doesn't it? We are a country farmhouse style restaurant in Loudoun county, Virginia (Purcellville to be exact - 20132) and have our first bartender turnover due to promotion. If you're into local fare, reasonably sized plates, fantastic wines and beers and like to share your personality, this should be your next best move. Uniform is fairly casual - no neckties here, staff is amazing and the food is ridiculously good. We're looking for someone who wants to work part time to full time and earn a good paycheck. No mavericks here so if you're looking to be Top Gun in your next job this is not for you - this is truly a team environment and if that's your thing, you're going to love working with us. Please send me a resume along with any questions you have to: Michael Mercer at Michael@thewinekitchen.com Thank you and enjoy the Fall everyone. It's beautiful out here in Purcellville.

Sous Chef - 5 years minimum cooking experience in a full service restaurant and the ability to lead in the Chef's absence. You will be given great responsibility and a huge amount of growth potential so be hungry, vigilant and ready to make a lot of our guests smile. 3. From one of the WK staff - we will be opening in Purcellville in July and it is going to be gorgeous as we have restored the old Cole Family Farm House and managed (with fervent ardor and determination) to preserve quite a bit of the original look. Still using all our neighbors for produce, proteins and wines, this is going to be a fun endeavor and we look forward to our guests joining us for the second half of 2013 and long into the future. We are now looking to hire a few more key employees including a Sous Chef, assistant General Manager and of course, servers, and line cooks. Contact - thewkleesburg@thewinekitchen.com if you or someone you know would like to join us.
  4. We'll be opening our second location early this fall in Frederick, Maryland and are now looking for an experienced General Manager to help assemble a team and operate the restaurant. Excellent salary, benefits and great work environment - please reply to thewk@thewinekitchen.com. check us out at www.thewinekitchen.com
  5. Theo, thanks for the kind words, it was great to see you again the other day when you stopped by to avoid the traffic on your way home. Look forward to your next visit and say hi to Jenna. By the way - are you two interested in our Route 66/across Americana wine dinner on Monday, July 19th? I've got a couple of spots open if you're interested?
  6. First time posting here - love the site and layout, nice Job D.R.! Michael Mercer here, owner/partner in the Wine Kitchen in Leesburg, Virginia where we've just passed our 19th month of being open. Our guests have been incredibly receptive to our fresh food and interesting wine selections where we offer 30 wines by the glass (we pour a 6oz glass), flight, taste size and we sell all our bottles to take home at ten dollars off the list price. Being out our way may keep us a bit out of the mainstream as far as DC reviews go but I'd give that up everyday just to keep us closer to the local farmers, butchers and Loudoun wineries. If you haven't yet made it out our way and want to eat and drink well on a budget, check us out especially on Tuesday nights when all our flights are nine dollars or less for 3 two ounce pours of amazing wines. Menu and wine list -both change fairly frequently but are kept up to date online (plus info on wine dinners, an interesting blog etc...) are on our website. Hope to see you there and remember to always eat and drink simply.
