The Ashby Inn & Restaurant seeks a qualified individual for a full time salaried position with benefits requiring full time availability for breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts. Candidate must possess:
Knowledge of professional fine dining service standards
Knowledge of wines, wine presentation and service
Knowledge of spirits, cocktail preparation and bar service
The desired candidate is competent, professional, well spoken, eloquent, articulate, organized, and calm. This individual should have a minimum of five years service experience in a fine dining operation.
This position is responsible for dining room operations including:
Directing service by carrying out the service plan created by the managing partner for that evenings
service, including orchestrating the seating.
Maintaining service standards
Leading daily staff meeting
Opening and closing shifts
Preparing daily menus
Updating and operating POS system
Supervising staff, monitoring labor costs
Coordinating with chef and Managing partner to ensure adequate supply of service-related items (linens, bar supplies, etc)
Assisting with service from taking tables to running food, serving wine to making cocktails.
