  1. It is reported that Cuban Corner closed this week. It was my go to place when I took courses at Montgomery Collage. https://bethesdamagazine.com/bethesda-beat/dine/small-bites-the-cuban-corner-closes-in-rockville/
  2. We have been to the Rockville location a few times. My kids really like their fish and chips. I was very underwhelmed by their cheviche and though the clam chowder was a bit over the top.
  3. Looks like Mia's will be under new management "Olazzo Owners Taking Over Mia's Pizzas in Bethesda" by Steve Hull on bethesdamagazine.com
  4. I brought my wife there the other night for a sandwich right before going to preschool parent teacher night. We eat our sandwiches and bought 10 small pastry's for the kids and a baguette. When we got home the 1.5 and 3.5 were push each other away from the box of pastry's so that they did not have to share and my wife eat 1/2 the baguette while she was up working. I guess they really like the baking.
  5. I and my wife and kids went on Saturday. The food was pretty good. My 1 one year old eat a bit of everything that was put in front of her and liked it. My 3 year old, who is in his very picky eater phase, liked the hot dog and chips (not always the case). The only issue we had was there was no diet soda. My wife has a medial issue that prevents here from drinking or eating a lot od sugar. SHe does not like iced tea so that left the option of water. I think Red Apron my want to rethink this as there are a lot of diabets and others who do not do non diet soda.
  6. I went yesterday for lunch in Rockville. The menu has shrunk in size since the last time I was there. They have take the Bolognese Pasta off the menu which was my wife's favorite. She used to order two. One for there and one to take home. I am sure next time we go she will tack down the manager and try to convince him to have it come back.
  7. We went to the new store at Tysons mall. The store was a bit hard to find and when we did we could not find a handicapped entrance. We manhandled the baby carriage up the steps. And mentioned this to cashier who had no idea if or where the handicapped entrance was and could not care less. Eventually the manager came over to see how every thing was and we mentioned the lack of accessibility. He did not know the answer but at least had the presence of mind to walk next store to Chipotle and ask their manager. They told him that you could get to the ramp by using the Chipotle patio. Not an obvious solution. The food was OK. Not as good as I remember it in Falls Church a few years ago. We may go back when we are at the mall but would not make a special trip to go.
  8. We go often. The service can be disorganized somethimes but it is always helpful and freindly. The topping are excelent and the dogs and sausages are good. I would like to see more personailty in the sausages and a bigger selection.
  9. I do not think that Gambino's is lesser known that Leidenheimer, at least in New Orleans. And if they are getting thier bread from Gambino's can they smuggle up a few Doberge cakes in the shipments? :-)
  10. We went to lunch there today. Uassaly the food and service are great but today they were fireing on one cylinder rather than all 6. The food was served warm bordering on cold and we had to ask for most things we wanted several times. I would have complained to the manager but every time I tried to wave him down he ignored me. My wife told him that things were off and he said, "OK". Hopefully this is a once in a blue moon occurance.
  11. I assume you have to friend it. Social media not not my thing so I am not sure if there is an issue with this. I am an infastructure guy. If there is not a rfc it does not exist.
  12. My wife and I eat their often. It is our 1 year old’s favorite restaurant in town ( I do not know if that is a plus or not J ) It is very good French bistro cooking. The menus are short and usually change almost every day depending on availability of items and what the chef wants to make. II is a family affair Carol is the chef, and the other chef is her oldest daughter. Her husband is the bar tender, waiter, and everything else in for the front of the house. The soups are some of the best in town. I use their Facebook page to get what the special are. I do not find this so difficult. I would highly recommend that you try it. I find the food quite good. As a matter of fact I think I am going to go there for lunch today.
  13. You can alway go for the green vote and list it as "I am an highly invasive species - please eat me and save Maryland"
  14. We tried the new lamb on our sandwiches the other night. While it was not bad and we understand the reasons you changed, we felt it was no ware near as good as the old lamb. I think that was my faverate thing served.
  15. When I worked down the street I and my coworkers went every morning for out coffee and pastry. When I am in that part of the world I stop by for lunch. Well worth the trip.
  16. I am sad to see that they did workout in Rockville. My wife and I enjoyed going there of Sundays for the brunch.
