Hot Dougs is incredible. I lived in Chicago for 3 yrs and truly miss the place. I go there straight from the airport when I visit. Fancy dogs aren't "trite" , they show that you can be creative within a framework that most food snobs think of as pedestrian. If this new place can come close to Doug's, it'll be the place chefs come to snack. That's always a good sign.

Sad to say but I'm NEVER going back. Tried the new style a few nights ago with the Mrs. (she's even more of a burger snob than me)...it sucked. Too-lean beef, pressed into a hockey puck...no thanks. The main reason (for me) to into that little hole was the kick-ass burger and local flavor. Thats all gone now. I hope the Banana Republic likes their mini-burgers and faux-retro flavor. I'll pass. Thanks for screwing up one of the few reasons to go out in Silver Sprung. I need a drink.

I second the recommendation of the Dansko closed back...I think it's called the "professional"...they last for years!

As someone with a history with Greenwood and her antics, I agree that she has a right to be rude and we have a right to stay away in droves.
