  1. Thanks to all who replied. After consulting my husband, we went to Marcel's. It was lovely. We got the five course tasting menu, and of course, did not miss the boudin blanc, which was amazing! Pam
  2. That's one of my choices, along with Marcel's, CityZen and now Eola. Though I am leaning toward Marcel's now.
  3. It's a bit short notice, but looking for suggestions for the 25th wedding anniversary dinner, which is on Wednesday. I've culled through some of the reviews, but can't make up my mind. Best chef's tables to try for reservations maybe? (This could be fun, my husband just emailed to say I can pick, any place sounds good!)
  4. Glad to see all the reviews of the menu! My husband is taking me there for my birthday tomorrow night (major points for him! LOL) and I'm really looking forward to it. After looking at the menu online, I will have a hard time deciding, I can tell. Any good tips on the wine list before we go?
  5. This is so great! Now I just have to decide which night of the week next week! :-)
  6. I usually go to the Falls Church market, and last year, regularly bought fresh milk. This year, the dairy didn't come back after winter break. Has anyone found fresh milk at any of the other markets? I've been spoiled with the grass-fed, fresh milk and just can't drink the supermarket milk any more. Pam
  7. They are at my local Farmer's Market on Saturdays, so I usually buy the different buffalo sausages. Served with pasta and homemade tomato sauce usually. Luckily my husband has developed a taste for both the buffalo and grass-fed beef. Pam
  8. I"ve been buying grass-fed milk from a dairy at the Falls Church Farmers Market on Saturdays. The skim tastes like real milk and not water with a bit of milk. I can't remember the dairy name, but I won't drink store milk any more. They also have yogurt, full-fat cream and some cheeses. Tobey
  9. My husband and I ate there last night and found it excellent. I felt like I was in Paris with the French staff, excellent food and atmosphere. I was rather disappointed to walk out and find myself on Penn. Ave. and not near the Seine. I had dishes that have already been mentioned, pate, terrine, monkfish and pork, and all were excellent. I'd say this one is a bargain for the quality you get. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. Tobey
