1. My wife was telling me the unfortunate story of a young man she went to high school with, his father, a famous Jazz pianist/arranger/jingle writer in Chicago, was always called "Big Dick" and so when people referred to his son Richard they called him "Little Dick" - the eldest went by Dick Marx until he died, his son stuck with Richard.
2. My doctor's last name is LeFevre - great guy.
3. I am still at a loss to understand how BMW survived that rolling shitshow.
4. What no love for the automated manual trans? Personally, I never trust a car with an odd number of cylinders, just seems so unnatural.
5. By the way, I was not joking he practices in Fairfax.
6. 2010 Terres Dorees Beaujolais Blanc - bet most people did not know that there was such a thing as a white Beaujolais. This is drinking so well right now. Jean-Paul Brun is a frickin' stud.
7. This brought back memories of Dr. Harry C. Beaver, OB/GYN - really with that name you have no other career choices.
8. There were two fundamental problems with the burger that I had for lunch that kept it from being great. The first was too much wood char flavor, not every bite had the problem, but enough of them did that I couldn't help but notice it. I suspect that the burger was licked by the flame which usually causes this off flavor, some people like it, I am not one of those people. The second is the construction of the burger; I felt like I was going to have to dislocate my jaw to get a bit out of the sandwich. I would have preferred this as one larger paddy instead of a double - an option for a single paddy version would be even better. Aside from the char, I found the meat to have a nice flavor and was quite juicy; a lesser bun would have fallen apart because of those juices. When it comes to toppings, I generally do not like anything other than cheese a few condiments but the mushrooms worked quite well. The fries were absolutely delicious. It is a burger I would order again, but I would not rank it in my top 5. Your bartender in training is very nice and she is quite attentive.
9. I want to throw some love out to Cizuka, thank you for updating your website to address the whole address/map issue.
10. Serious Eats just published the results of their Sriracha taste test. They agreed with you about Shark (came in second to another Thai brand named Polar), but disagreed concerning Sriraja Panich. I am sure that if the rankings were done by someone who is Thai or steeped in Thai food the results might be different. http://www.seriouseats.com/2013/06/taste-test-the-best-sriracha.html?ref=title
11. Mine came the same way, but the company's policy was first initial and first 5 letters of your last name - they thought that having emails going out with Shitco was inappropriate. On other sites I now use a name that honors one of my canine companions.
12. Speaking of menus, Curry Mantra's reads as if someone had written a bad parody of an Indian menu. Scanning over it I cannot shake the voice of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon reading it to me.
13. The best burger that I have ever eaten was not at Palena (though I do love that burger), not Craige on Main’s (just a little too manipulated for my taste), but at the bar at Bourbon Steak. I am sure that most will balk at spending $20 on a burger, but this is made with assorted cuts of dry aged prime meat for a 75/25 blend.
14. LaTienda also sells those, but be warned they are quite expensive. I have a tin of them at home that I plan on opening a little later this summer, I will let you know how they are.
15. Today two women were making the dumplings and we had none of those issues. I should also mention that the cold beef and tripe dish is delicious.

17. That review is a microcosm of all that is wrong with Yelp. So from what I read: 1) you suck because I cannot find parking and I am scared that the people I this strange neighborhood are going to rob me, oh and move to the suburbs because you suck. 2) You have a sushi chef, which is strange as you do not sell sushi, but you suck anyway for having a surely sushi chef. 3) I expect that when I order the vegetable of the day that even when you tell me what it is that if I do not like it, I order it anyway and you suck for not knowing ahead of time that I am a complete and total fucking idiot and expect arugula. Wow.
18. Not a restaurant but I miss Morton honey buns - just another reason to hate ConAgra.
19. I am wondering if they have the same person making the dumplings all of the time. I say that because the dumplings that we had today had very thin skins.
20. I am sad to say that they are day and night. At Curry Mantra you get a large platter of lightly battered spinach with a sparse amount of sauce drizzled across the plate and a smattering of pomegranate seeds. More sauce would have helped, but the biggest issue is that some of the leaves clumped together because of the batter and were leaden. This is not a bad dish, just not in the same ballpark as Rasika's.
21. With the exception of the address issue, I really like your site - I am a great believer that simple is best. To link on the JPEG all you need to do is add the following:

22. I saw today that she is shopping a reality show. http://www.wtop.com/541/3346913/Bad-behavior-on-reality-TV-is-tested-path-to-fame
23. My usual breakfast/post workout protein shake is Dymatize ISO 100 protein shake and EAS Betagen. The ISO 100 comes in all sorts of flavors that are surprisingly inoffensive*, my favorites being the Gourmet Vanilla and Gourmet Chocolate. The Betagen comes in two flavors orange and cherry; on its own the orange tastes like sugar-free Tang. I have found all 4 possible mixtures to be quite good, my current favorite being vanilla and orange; it tastes like a guilt-free Creamsicle. * I despise the taste of artificial sweeteners, so inoffensive is as good as it is going to get.
