  1. If you are in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge, there's a locally owned frozen custard place called BR Frozen Custard & Sweets. In addition to vanilla & chocolate, they also have unique daily flavors and weekly sundaes, all made fresh every day. The also have a daily assortment of frozen custard sandwiches that we have enjoyed as well. The daily flavors calendar can be shared to your Google Calendar, which is a wonderful and terrible thing. http://www.brfrozencustards.com/
  2. Wow, been a while. This was renamed to Campbell's Custard, but the custard has remained consistently delicious. The new URL is: http://campbellscustard.com/ In addition, we've been a few times this summer and I've felt very comfortable with the employees' masking and how they are handling payment and food handling.
  3. I always want to stop here when I have to go to court in Prince William County. And I drove by and then it closed for the season, drove by, then closed for the season. This past Monday I did well in court so I said, "Ahhha! I am going to stop and treat myself." Kline's just looks like that custard shop you could find all over the country in small town America twenty or so years ago, probably because it has been around forever, but the thing is, it is still here. There was a line and lots of kids in the back enjoying their ice cream at the tables. I really liked the plain vanilla cust

Website & Menu: http://freddysusa.com/Menu/FullMenu/default.aspx Location: 10030 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA (next to the Fairfax Outback Steakhouse) Serious Eats review of another location: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2012/04/chain-reaction-freddys-frozen-custard-and-steakburgers-review.html Impressions: Much less claustrophobic than the Fredericksburg Steak & Shake (and sure as shit easier to get to), and far more "roomy" than the Smashburger down the street. There's likely a good reason for this, however, in the fact that directly behind the restaurant is a communal practi
  5. So there's a new BurgerFi opening on Monday (Sept 26) in the what became the final resting place of Pat Troy's Ireland's Own (111 N. Pitt St). Based on a quick peek in the window, the interior looks to have been nicely renovated; lots of warm wood flooring and paneling, long communal tables with overhead hanging lights, an elevated counter area near the rear of the space. The menu of burgers, dogs, fries, and custard sounds a bit like Shake Shack, no? Craft beer and wine are also mentioned on the window graphics. This location will join four others in the area (Silver Spring, Woodbridge,
