I need help. We're redoing our kitchen and I'm carefully choosing appliances. When it comes to the ovens, I'm stuck. Currently, we have double 24 inch thermal ovens and I want to replace them with 30 inch convection ovens. I am leaning towards a certain brand or three, but I'm wondering if I should consider opting for a convection oven with a convection microwave combination above. I use one oven probably 80-90% of the time. I use the microwave almost daily, mostly for heating coffee, reheating leftovers and defrosting. I've seen rave reviews about these oven with micro/convection combinations but want to know if anyone here has experience using them and if you think it's a good trade off instead of getting a double oven (which appear to be more prone to breaking down as compared to single ovens). Also, if I get a single convection oven/micro convection oven, I will get a warming drawer stacked with them. Here are some examples that I'm looking at: http://www.ajmadison...ml#BVRRWidgetID http://www.ajmadison...E30MC75JPS.html Thanks all!

LauraB posted a topic in Shopping and CookingApologies if there is already a thread on this topic. Did not see it. Over the summer we will be moving from a house in Rockville to a condo in DC. The only thing about this move that I don't love is that we'll have to give up our outdoor grill. We grill often, so this will be quite a loss. I've been wondering about acquiring an indoor grill. I assume no indoor grill can come close to the results achieved with an outdoor grill. Still, I'd love to hear from those of you who use one and any suggestions you have for features and brands that you'd recommend. Thanks!
Electrolux Panini Press with Built-in Microwave
DonRocks posted a topic in Shopping and CookingNo expert here, but fascinated by the concept of a panini press with built-in microwave. What's the point? To crisp the outside, while unleashing the moisture on the inside, ensuring heating both from outside-in, and also inside-out? (Actually, I'm not even sure if microwaves heat from the inside-out, do they? I thought they just haphazardly shook molecules around.) Cheers, Rocks
