  1. Katz's might be my favorite place in New York. Their pastrami on rye is the best sandwich in the world. (Note: I have not been close to everywhere in the world)
  2. I recently had a chance to visit Bottega Louie, a bright, cavernous space in The Brockman Building on South Grand that is both a gourmet market and restaurant. The large open floor and high ceilings plan gives the place a certain vibrancy, with an accompanying noise level that you might expect from such a large room. I took a seat at the 10 stool bar in the front closer to the market and quite enjoyed the Cioppino, which also cost $30. It was a full bowl of succulent seafood, that contained perhaps the most plump mussels I have ever been served. Truly satisfying.
  3. Anyone have any experience with their home delivery of milk? Wondering if it would be worth trying... Thanks! Jennifer
  4. Anyone been here before? How is it? Two Locations: 12214 Fairfax Town Center Fairfax, VA 22033 voice(703)385-8883 fax(703)385-5855 8100 Boone Blvd Tysons Corner, VA 22182 voice(703)556-DELI(3354) fax(703)288-9511 I am mainly intrested in the Tyson's Branch http://www.chutzpahdeli.com/
  5. I know you are probably in the District, but Mom's Apple Pie Company in Herndon makes great pies. It is all they do. I don't know if they sell at any of the farmer's markets but you may want to call them. They are seriously good. Moms Apple Pie Co.
  6. I love Dangerously Delicious Pies, chocolate chess is my fav. It is a small operation and I have heard in the past that he gets quite overwhelmed during Thanksgiving. Perhaps he is better prepared now (this was a few years ago) but I must admit that it would give me pause. Rodney does make a kick ass pie, though.
