  1. We don't seem to have a thread on Top Chef on the Bravo network. Season 3 starts this Wed, June 13th at 10pm. Does anyone else watch it? I'm hoping Season 3 will be better than Season 2 (as in, less drama), although the previews don't make it seem that way.
  2. We've got to pull for one of our own members: chefjeffDC (Jeffrey Jew) will be competing on next season's Seattle Top Chef against the handsome, charismatic, dr.com alumnus, Bart Vandaele (Belga Café) and Daniel O'Brien (Seasonal Pantry). Let's kill some giants, Jeffrey! Please keep us posted so we can get together and cheer for one of our own! Cheers, Rocks
  3. I'd like to propose that three of Washington DC's superstar Mexican chefs: José Andrés (Oyamel), Mike Isabella (Bandolero), and Diana Davila-Boldin (El Chucho), compete in a cook-off, with all profits going to charity, and may the best manchef win. A Spanish-American, an Italian-American, and a Mexican-American, all vying for bragging rights over Mexico: the number one source (by far) of naturalized Americans. As Thomas Keller said at the James Beard Awards when reading out the 2007 nominees for Best Chef in America: "There are no losers here."
