I am dancing on the ceiling that this dinner is taking place in my city. I know my taste in wine tend to lean toward Old World, but I do enjoy wines produced by David Ramey. I recall having a chardonnay from Ramey wine cellars at Corduroy, and a few times since. This dinner is also an incredible value at $135. It will be 4 courses presented by the Chef which will highlight the best the region of South Central Pa has to offer. Dinner will take place on Tuesday, June 12 at 6:15. Our first wine dinner of the year will take place January 27. The restaurant is located at 1350 I Street NW. The winery being presented is Arietta, a small, high end cult producer in Napa Valley. The wines are always lush and full flavored. Fritz Hatton, the noted wine auctioneer and owner of Arietta will join us and talk about the wines. 7pm dinner, 4 courses, $120 per person excluding tax and gratuity. Wanted to put this out to my fellow board members as it is very special for us to have María José Lí³pez de Heredia with us for the evening. Not to mention these beautiful wines to be paired with a five course family style tapas dinner of delicious Estadio favorites: Gravonia 2005 Tondonia Reserva Blanco 2001 Vina Cubillo 2006 Tondonia Reserva Tinto 2003 Tondonia Gran Reserva 1994 Dinner is at 7pm and I promise you will leave full & happy for $100 per person (+ tax + gratuity.) The Pope flies out at 4pm so fingers crossed the city will have returned to normal by the evening and- 1 reply
