KJHughes60
Just called 1789 for reservations Christmas Eve only to discover that they are booked solid. I need a special dining destination, doesn't have to be in D.C. Really enjoyed 1789 last year, the carolers, decorations and of course the food. Would like something comparable with music. u-bet!
Here are some options in NOVA, at least.
Lydia R
Here's a similar list from our friends at Washingtonian Mag . Sounds like you want a traditional [Currier & Ives] Christmas Eve. Sorry, I'm the kind of person who has a sushi blowout 7 Fish. Perhaps other members can help.
brettashley01
I went to Dino last year and really enjoyed it. Then again, I'm Jewish, so maybe I'm not the best source...
KJHughes60
Gosh, thanks for your help everyone! I really appreciate your input. I've reviewed the lists and narrowed down our choices to either the Tabard Inn or the Morrison-Clark Restaurant. Never tried either. Comments, insights? KJHughes60
Here are some options in NOVA, at least. LOL! That's exactly what we're looking for in the visuals. Something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. The food though should be more than just ham & yams. I have to say that our experience last year at 1789 will be hard to top. With the decorations and the carolers, couldn't have been a more perfect Christmas experience.
curiouskitkatt
How about the Willard Room? Menus are available to view at their website. This I imagine could be the complete "Norman Rockwell", holiday you may be in search of for Christmas Eve.
