bilrus
(And what was the next thing I had to eat after my dinner at Cityzen? French fries from the Nathan's in the food court at the Leesburg outlets. ) A fine establishment - I had dinner last Friday at the Arthur Treacher's that shares counter space with Nathan's. The service was particularly impressive.

That's because Nathan's owns the rights to co-brand Arthur Treacher's. Kenny Rogers Roasters and Miami Subs too. (My favorite co-branding: A&W with KFC - sugar and grease.) tastedc
http://www.nathansfamous.com/nathans/news/...ts_new_main.php Sort of unrelated, but the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Champion this year was Takeru Kobayashi - he ate 49 in 12 minutes, but the #2 was local Alexandrian Sonya Thomas - 37 in 12 minutes, her website is at http://www.sonyatheblackwidow.com/ - she's actually the American Champion, she can out eat Eric Booker who weighs almost 4 times her weight!!! The service was particularly impressive. I think we may have experienced the same guy at the counter... my friend asked me why I kept saying "please" and "thank you" to him and I told her it was in the hope that if we were less surly to him, he'd be less surly to us. And my fries were soggy.
DanielK
And my fries were soggy. Aren't Nathan's fries ALWAYS soggy?
laniloa
Aren't Nathan's fries ALWAYS soggy? No! The one my mom and I make our annual pilgrimage too usually has them on the well done side so the little ones are almost crispy.
Mark Slater
The well known outpost in Coney Island notwithstanding, the last time I was in Las Vegas, there was a Nathan's Famous deep inside the New York New York hotel staffed entirely by Mexicans who were cheerful but clueless about this particular delicacy. JLK
I remember seeing that! Near the Krispy Kreme, IIRC.
DonRocks
"Nathan's Famous" can be rearranged as: "Shaft anus: moan." I just thought I'd mention that.
