Good Bourbon List?

A friend and co-worker is a bourbon fanatic, and hasn't really had the chance in the time since he's relocated from Kentucky to find someplace with a good bourbon list. I don't know the first thing about bourbon, and wouldn't know a good list of them if it was right in front of me. Good food in addition to the bourbon is definitely a plus, but the spirits are the star here, so I'm not looking for a fine dining experience here (but won't turn it down, either).

Bourbon...on 18th St in Adams Morgan or on Wisconsin Ave in Glover Park. Over 200 American straight whiskeys on offer. They have a printed list, but it's not always 100% up-to-date. The bartenders are engaging, though, and will keep you from accidentally ordering a $25 dram....unless that's what you want .

Will 2nd both Bourbons as your place to go. The key is talking to the bartenders about what you like (or don't), they've always pulled something surprising out that ended up being delicious when I've asked.

The food is also good (although I've only been to the Glover Park location). When you sit down order the sweet chips. You will thank me.
