Looking for a restaurant where one person can eat low-butter, low-salt; and yet the meal will still be tasty for the full-fat-and-sodium eater. :lol: Would pick sushi, but am restricted in neighborhoods to U Street/14th Street/Gallery Place/Metro Center. No good sushi around there.

Thoughts?

I wish I could have the spicy tuna hand roll at Masa 14 every day!

Is Kushi too far afield?

Funny, we were just there too - we are clearly making the "healthy yet tasty" rounds - I was underwhelmed, but that's a comment for a different thread.

Ha -- that's almost verbatim what Gennaro and I said when we had it (months ago ... FAIL).

At the southern end of your range, what about Poste?

Poste was also on my list - and we haven't been there. Just checking to see if there are any obvious choices I've missed in my brainstorming. Thanks :lol:

I don't really like Oceanaire at all, they drive me nuts, BUT getting simply grilled fish with veggie side dishes would be very healthy. And they do have fresh fish that is good simply grilled. I would prefer Blacksalt, but that is out of the distance range.

Also Zentan might have some options for you between the sushi and regular menu.

And actually Zaytinya might be good too.
