MBK
Does anyone have a recipe for no-yeast dinner rolls? I am craving rolls right now, and have no yeast in the house. (I do have baking soda and baking powder so I'm hoping I can cobble something together!) Thanks.
Pete
I found this recipe in my files. I have never actually made it, so if it sucks, don't blame me. Smith House Quick Rolls 2 cups (500 ml) self-rising flour ¼ cup (60 ml) mayonnaise (do not substitute with low-fat or fat-free) 1 - 1 ½ cups (250-375 ml) milk Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until smooth, adding as much milk as necessary to make a dough. Divide into 12 rolls and place in a greased muffin pan. Bake in a preheated 400F (200C) oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Serve warm. Makes 12 rolls.
