Sthitch
Eola's tasting menu is well worth the price. Last Friday night it was 10 courses that were mostly brilliant (there were one of two misses).
Genevieve
The most important thing is that the food tastes great -- could even be something simple but just tastes spectacular. We remember having fried calamari at a simple restaurant in LA which was the best we had ever had because they had fresh, fresh calamari and they dipped in flour and then lightly fried it. Best calamari we had ever had. Thx! I hope you have a marvelous time at Palena! Some time, you and your husband might enjoy Zaytinya, which is less high-end special-occasion than the ones recommended here, so you might be happy there before your next award (congrats!). Zaytinya has the best fried calamari I've ever had -- it may not compare to what you had in LA, but if you like good, fresh, very lightly fried calamari, Zaytinya's your place.
