Join us outdoors at the Evening Star Cafe this Saturday for a fun-filled neighborhood afternoon of world class World Cup Soccer, fine food, beer, wine and friends.

We'll be broadcasting the USA vs. England game on several big screens, both indoors and out - against a backdrop that'll includes and authentic Louisiana Crawfish boil, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob and more. Beer Director Greg Engert adds to the rivalry by pitting rare English brews against American versions of the same style. The English side will include drafts of Meantime IPA and a cask of Coniston Bluebird XB, while Coronado Brewing Company’s Islander IPA and Blue Mountain Brewing Company’s Full Nelson Pale Ale will represent the American side. Planet Wine will complement the scene with a selection of South African wines available by the glass.

All are invited and there’s no fee to attend. Tickets will be sold for all food and drinks at the event and yes, we’ll have a tent just in case it rains. For more information, call 703.549.5051. Reservations are not necessary.

Note: After this kick-off event, the Evening Star Cafe will open its bar area a bit earlier than usual to screen all games starting at 10 am EST, for the duration of the tournament.
