Restaurants on Christmas Eve

Recommended Posts

I enjoy good food. My parents love traditioanl fare, plainly presented. They also hard of hearing, prefer quieter places.

Any recommendations for a restaurant for Christmas Eve?

Thanks!

I am so there with them.

How about:

Prime Rib - Beef on Christmas Eve has always been a tradition in my family

Normandie Farm - quite traditional, quaint room, easy on the ears

Vidalia - can deviate from the traditional, but not so much that it should make your parents uncomfortable.

Second Prime Rib. I would also add:

1789 in Georgetown. Setting is very traditional and noise level is low. Haven't been there for Christmas Eve, but did have Thanksgiving there last year and it was really lovely.

We've done 1789 for the last few years (since our previous traditional place, Ruppert's, closed). It would be ideal for this.

I've had several good meals at Equinox on Dec. 24th, and their holiday fare has been fairly meat-and-potatoes... Well, maybe venison and potatoes.

Um, for those of us unable to be with family for Christmas eve - does anyone want to get together for an impromptu-dr.com-eve dinner??
