Slow Food DC: 1st Annual Snail of Approval Awards Party

I'm less affiliated with SFDC these days due to the new baby, but I wanted to let folks know about the Snail of Approval awards party happening in a week. First the Snail is intended to award restaurants and businesses who in general source locally. Nominations are done by the public regardless of whether the person submitting the nomination is a member. There are several places that won an award this year that you would guess would, and certainly lower flying ones that deserved it.

I encourage you all to attend if you can. It's at Poste, It's $30 ($35 for non-members), there will be at least a whole pig and a lamb being roasted. There are also several other things on the menu, certainly a good deal. Oh it's on Sept 25th, 4-7. Ticket sales end very soon. This is not mentioned anywhere but the eventbrite ticket site.
