DonRocks
"Waiting for Godello" published May 1st, 2007 by me. "Waiting for Godello" published March 15th, 2012 by four-time James Beard Award winner Roxanne Gold. (Obviously I'm just talking about the title.) SeanMike
Honestly? Same host on the topic? A quick read through of each didn't lead anything to stand out for me except the title, which when you see how to pronounce it doesn't seem unusual. EDIT: I just re-read them side by side and I'm not seeing it. Perhaps that's just me, but FWIW. Edited March 16, 2012 by SeanMike
Escoffier
While it may not be plagarism, the two articles certainly do explore similar avenues. Of course, Gerry Dawes would be interested in pushing his vision of Godello. I think he's the commonality and he's let himself be replicated. Pat
I'd vote for "coincidence." The pun in the headline(s) is a pretty obvious one to make. And I agree with Of course, Gerry Dawes would be interested in pushing his vision of Godello. I think he's the commonality and he's let himself be replicated. RWBooneJr
She's not the first. And regardless of whether it's plagerism, it's lazy journalism. She's basically regurgitating a made-for-the-media event.
