HR-57, Jazz Preservation Hall at 10th and H Street NE in the Atlas District - Closed

Okay, so it's raison d'ètre isn't to be a restaurant, but many people don't know that HR-57 has a $3 corkage policy, and that's good enough to get my attention.

HR-57 (House Resolution 57) recently closed it's location on 8th and H Street NE, and that location is going to be filled by Fever Bar & Lounge. HR-57 reopened last Friday in its new location, two blocks east.

Per Frozen Tropics on Twitter, the $3 corkage is apparently per person, not per bottle. Which is still a fantastic deal. We've been meaning to go to this place for years, but just haven't made it happen. Anyone have an opinion on the food?

They STILL do that?? Wow--that's awesome. When I was a young, broke gal, new to the city, I'd grab a six-pack, pay my three bucks, and listen to often awesome music until late in the night. On weeks where I was particularly flush, I'd supplement with some of their fried fish and greens. Meeeeeeemmmories...

The H Street NE location closed in August, there are For Lease signs hanging in the windows now.  Last I heard it was moving near the Howard Theater but not sure where that is.  A significant loss for H Street NE.
