mdt Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Had dinner at Farmicia this past weekend and had an enjoyable meal. Highlights for me were the Tuscan Grain Salad (organic spelt, chopped garden vegetables, lemon-basil vinaigrette, arugula) and the Crispy Fried Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (atop a trio of fries, bloody mary dipping sauce). My entree of Boneless Pork Chop Dijon (grilled, honey glazed turnips, broccoli, cider-sage sauce) was good, but the meat was slightly overcooked and therefore a bit dry, but the sauce helped. It did have a nice bit of char from the grill that went well with the sweetness of the turnips.
Free Wilma Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I had the opportunity to try Farmica for brunch one recent weekend. It had the distinct advantage (in the old city area) of being open for breakfast on a Sunday morning before 10:00. However, they DO switch over to their brunch menu at 10:00am, which is an infinitely more interesting menu. It was definitely a bustling spot for a chilly Sunday morning. My daughter had the Goat Cheese Panini on Sour dough with Pesto and I enjoyed Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon...along with the obligatory Bloody Mary. All in all, a solid brunch location that I look forward to revisiting to try the lunch and dinner menus.
