I agree with him about words such as good, nice, and great. I know I use them, since I run out of descriptors, and sometimes what I actually mean is that something is good. I often don't always have a descriptor available in my head to capture the char on something or the texture. (I do resort to the thesaurus sometimes, though.) I'm also not a food writer. When writing about other things, I really push to avoid words of that sort. It comes down to (as was discussed earlier in this thread), writing about a meal or not writing about it.
