dr.com Dinner at Shakthi in Alexandria - December 11th, Time TBD

I've never had Sri Lankan food.  Anyone interested in getting together to try various dishes at Shakthi?  It's at 3807 Mount Vernon Ave in Alexandria.

Post here if you're interested and what days would work for you.  Possible days are sometime next week though that's kind of soon (week of Nov. 18) or the weeks after Thanksgiving (week of Dec. 2 or Dec. 9).

I am interested. I work in the evenings, but after the first week of December I could be free for dinner. Lunch would work for me most days. This place is right in my neighborhood. I could walk here.

Great! Based on the responses above, looks like possibilities are dinner the week of Dec 9 except Thurs night. (Fishinnards, I assume that's the week that dinner would work for you?). Lunch on a Saturday or Sunday could also be an option if you all prefer.

Shoot.  I can walk to this restaurant.  I'm in, and maybe a +1.  As a bizarre aside, there is a Sri Lankan restaurant in San Ignacio, Belize, and it is fabulous.

Ok, so I forgot about this when scheduling the Dino dinner because I was going off Dean's available date, but I think that is getting moved, so I should still be able to do this, if Hubby can manage without me for a couple nights this week.

Unfortunately, I'm out.  At risk of providing TMI, Mr. lperry is out of town on work today and will be back tonight for about an hour before heading out later for another trip.  His plane gets in at National around 6:15.  As much as I love you guys, I want to see him before he leaves again.    If something happens with the plane's scheduling, I'll drop in.
