Song Que, Vietnamese Deli and Market in Eden Center - Closed Sep 15, 2014

Recommended Posts

Wow, that news is quite bad! I was just there yesterday for lunch (#9 Tofu skin bahn mi, my personal favorite). They use butter instead of mayonnaise as other bahn mi places and definitely makes it tastes better. It will be hard to replace.

It appears that the rumor of Song Que's closure isn't true:

Sadly, it seems the closure will happen -- I just came back from Song Que, picking up banh mi for lunch. The son said it's true, will close in the next few months...

I've been meaning to try their pre-made packaged food and will have to hurry up.  How is it?  Any recommendations?

Do try one of their coconut waters (in the cooler).

I made my way over there yesterday for a #4 bahn mi xiu mai.  Good as ever.  Was looking over the other bahn mi places figuring where to go after SQ closes.  Guess I'll try Les Baguettes or Bahn Mi So #1.  If you know of better ones there, please let me know.

I'll miss the banh mi for sure, but I really liked that Song Que had a seating area. Any other Eden Center banh mi places have tables?

Les Baguette does. Along with some cheesy television always playing. And the bahn mi is better. I promise. Just please pick up a grilled pork one for me.

It's that wonderful time of the year -- mangosteens are now available here and other places at Eden Center (including a sidewalk lady).
