Kibbee Nayee
Most Americans fail to recognize that our nation's history is highlighted by some of the great speeches in ever delivered, like Lincoln's Gettysburg Address or Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" -- exploding with context and passion, and exuding greatness. One of the best of them all was delivered by an athlete of unquestionable greatness and of tremendous humility, who was crippled with a disease that now bears his name. It was the greatest speech in professional sports history. I consider myself to be the luckiest fan on the face of the earth for having had the opportunity to absorb the history of this man and the franchise he represented. There will never be another Lou Gehrig.
