monavano Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I have a reservation at Osteria the Sat. before Christmas. It's on the early side, 5:30, but I thought better to secure a spot than take a chance later. My only problem is that I'm going to have to eat a DiNic's pork sandwich for breakfast at that rate! Although, I'm very intrigued by Fork etc, which is a cafe next to Fork. The concept seems very unique; a great restaurant, Fork, that opens a cafe to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner to go and high quality local products. Perhaps Sunday brunch.

We have a family member who is a sous chef at Fork, so I will blantantly shill even though I've never eaten there or gone to etc. next door. Did you get there?

Did you get there? Unfortunately I didn't. It's definitely on the list for next time. We passed by it so I know exactly where it is now. So many good eats, always so little time! It's why we went a day early on Sat.- to eat and enjoy. We did the above and the Macy's (Wannamaker's) light show all from 2pm on...also managed a side trip to Port Richmond to get some Polish goodies on Christmas Eve.
astrid Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Had a very enjoyable meal at High Street on Market last week. The bread + dip options are all delicious. The pastas and various appetizers are very good. It's an enjoyable space, very casual and not too loud. The cooking and presentation is impeccable.
astrid Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Sunday brunch here was a bit louder than dinner, but still very relaxed and full of great food. The brunch menu has something to offer everyone - sandwiches, salads, pastries, salty brunchy foods, and sweet things. Everything we had is perfectly made and tasty. It was the perfect restorative after a hard Saturday of riding rollercoasters at Six Flags Great Adventure (the headlining rollercoasters were great, everything else about the park not so much). I also finally realized that one could buy a loaf (or two) of the wonderful bread that serve to dinners. They're soooooo good. It's also possible to pick up sandwiches to go.
