Ericandblueboy Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Group stage first round starts tomorrow. Here's a game for soccer fans. Pick one team in each round. If your chosen team wins or ties, you survive to pick in the next round. I don't care if you pick the same team all the time. We'll see who lasts the longest. I'll take Real Madrid over Shakhtar. List of matches. To make things a little more varied, if you don't pick Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or PSG, you automatically get one goal. For example, let's say you pick Man City, and the actual score was Man City 1, Juventus 2, then you get a tie because of the one added goal. If anyone has access to odds on the matches, feel free to post them.
DonRocks Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Although I have a hunch you're right about Real Madrid over Shakhtar, I defy anyone to do this consistently over time! About the odds: Here's at least something ... "Champions League Betting Odds" on oddsportal.com I wish I had enough knowledge - I'd engage this thread. About the only thing I have to offer is a Real Madrid mousepad I got at the Madrid airport.
Tweaked Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 PSV wins by breaking legs.* Plus Manchester United continue to struggle. "Manchester United Suffer Luke Shaw Blow in Defeat at PSV" on theguardian.com*It wasn't Joe Theismann ugly but it was pretty ugly.
Ericandblueboy Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Manchester continues to struggle. City lost to Juventus (a team with 1 point in Serie A after 3 matches). We'll see if EPL teams all struggle. On the other hand, La Liga teams have all won thus far.
Tweaked Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Chelsea beat M Tel Aviv handily. That's about the only team Chelsea can beat handily right now.
Ericandblueboy Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 I take PSG over Shaktar Donetsk.
