aaronsinger
Hello, Not sure if this is even possible, but can anyone think of a centrally located brunch spot for a sunday brunch, able to handle a large crowd, hopefully not too expensive? And metro accessible? Will probably be about 20-25 of us, and this would be the first sunday of November (the 8th). Thanks! -daniel
DonRocks
Are you kidding? You're talking about hundreds of dollars of profit. LOTS of restaurant will want to help you. Give us a time (preferably an off-time (later is better), and made-to-order is better for you; buffet is better for them). Any restrictions? How centrally located? In DC? don't forget this is shortly before Thanksgiving so places are slightly less busy with such meals. Look at the dining guide around the areas you want, and list some candidates. New Heights has started serving brunch - Woodley Park is about as centrally located as you can get - write the management and ask what they offer for a group of your size. aaronsinger
Location is pretty flexible as long as metro accessible, time isn't as much, we were thinking around 11am. Only thing which I was expecting to be an issue was that this isn't a group who are going to want to spend a lot of money, not $50 a head or anything like that, just a get together of friends from all over. Was thinking maybe Open City? Other places mentioned include Jack Rose, Irish Whiskey, Founding Farmers, Fainting Goat. No idea if any of those places would be a good fit, just names that have been brought up. DonRocks
Open City is terrible. Founding Farmers can be sneaky expensive, but is much more palatable - I enjoyed my lunch at the Tysons Corner location not too long ago.
myzuk
Woodward Table might also be an option. If it's still warm enough, they have patio seating and I've seen decent sized groups there for brunch on Sundays. Around 11:00, it's not too crowded.
