cjsadler Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Lost 2 pounds, but exercise alone is not getting me much of anywhere. I've been working out like a wildman training for a triathlon, but am not really losing any weight (and I'm at an all time high). I figured I could keep up my freewheeling eating and drinking lifestyle, but it looks like some dietary changes are definitely in order
Anna Blume Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 You know, I have a tall, slim friend (married to a tall, skinny guy who's approaching 50 and still eats like a horse with no consequences) who learned how to swim last year to participate in a triathlon. Her team won. You would not believe how great she looks now and because of the intensity of the training, she "needs" to run on a regular basis just because she got into the habit and enjoys the freedom it provides. So, I hope you'll stick with it. I also started out stubborn, saying I wouldn't diet. Adjust slowly and don't give up the Parmesan.
cjsadler Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Lost 8 more pounds. I attribute this to about 90% work stress and 10% increased workouts.
cjsadler Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Lost another 4 lbs since my last update, for a total of 14. It was mainly excercise that got me there, as I didn't make much of a change to my diet (lack of willpower in the face of bacon, beer, ice cream, you-name-it, etc... )
