DonRocks
I'm having some family heirlooms (old, 33 rpm records) shipped into the U.S. from France - they aren't worth anything, but there are a *lot* of them - hundreds and hundreds. How do I arrange this in advance with customs? I have absolutely no idea. The total tax should be negligible, but I can't just have them shipped to my house (or can I?) ktmoomau
So I have had one client do this, not with records, but personal items, so I am basing it off that experience- they just had a company ship everything (I think maybe DHL). They had to provide a detailed record of all items and estimated values on the DHL forms.
ktmoomau
I also have shipped myself home boxes of items when I have been backpacking somewhere and don't want to carry the extra weight and same thing- needed to put the items and values on the form, but then just paid the shipping.
