I'd love to break this thread up, and give people like Johnny Mac his own, but I'm not sure how to do it without losing context.

Anyway, here's a fascinating video - I had no idea Connors and McEnroe were considering a coach-player relationship, even if briefly.

I loved watching him play too, but McEnroe really was a complete, total jerk at times. Arguably the greatest wooden-racket player in history, and someone whose commentary I really enjoy, but a complete, total jerk at times. Here, for example - this serve by Chang was in by six inches:
