PollyG
We are planning a kitchen remodel. The cabinets are covered and will be custom built in Pennsylvania by a shop specializing in this sort of thing. They would like to work with a local contractor for removal of existing cabinets and appliances, some minor electrical work (mostly moving lights and changing where a few appliances are) and possibly very minor plumbing. The biggest concern is any Fairfax County permits. Any suggestions?
Keithstg
We used Distinctive Building Group for our major kitchen remodel and were extremely impressed with the results. PIctures of the completed project are on their website along with testimonials.
ktmoomau
I am biased, but this is my Brother In Laws Company. He has never done work for me, but he has done work for Hubby's good friend and they were very happy and told us as much. He is a native and has done this most of his life, so very, very familiar with permitting.
PollyG
Thanks. My husband contacted both recommended contractors and. . .crickets. We got one hit out of 5 contractors we contacted, but they look like gems and have done work in the neighborhood.

Glad you found someone, Polly. If you're happy with their work, would you please start a thread for them here? They'll get a lot of love on Google, and hopefully that will translate in to dollars and cents (I still have fantasies about this forum working in the long term).
