Did you hear reference to this on the Slate Political Gabfest by any chance? I'd never heard of it before, but John Dickerson mentioned it on last week's episode.

No, I saw a tweet by a Presidential historian (Michael Beschloss), and this somehow popped into my mind for the first time in years.

I'd never heard the song before; I found it after Googling the campaign taunt (which dear old Mrs. Davis taught us in History 101 my sophomore year in college):

"Ma, Ma, where's my pa?"
"He's gone to the White House, ha ha ha!"
