Red Sea Bream: Pagrus Major ("Madai" in Japan) and Pagellus Bogaraveo / Sparus Aurata ("Dorade" in France) ... or Not

I'm trying to sort out Red Sea Bream, and hit a wall.

Going from Kingdom-Phylum-Class-Order-Family-Genus-Species in Taxonomy, Red Sea Bream is in the Family Sparidae. 

East-Asian Sea Bream is the Species Pagrus major - (Madai in Japan, Domi in Korea, and the most commonly eaten fish in Taiwan).

Mediterranean Sea Bream (also known as "Blackspot Sea Bream") is the Species Pagellus Bogaraveo - (Dorade in France, Orata in Italy, and the most popular Mediterranean fish).

... or not! This web page says that Mediterranean Sea Bream is the Species Sparus Aurata, and I trust this web page (I think) - anyone want to help?

The Sushi Geek has a great write up and visual for Madai. I've always wanted to try the seasonal sea bream, Sakura-dai but haven't able to swing it since it's so rare. Also a lot of Japanese sea bream sold in the states usually is something else.

2 Amy's was featuring Red Sea Bream crudo at the wine bar earlier this week.  Whatever fish it was, it was pretty damn good.

They also had Mackerel, and were dishing up small tastings.  Also delicious.
