Tweaked Posted November 19, 2020 Share Posted November 19, 2020 Per Smithsonian website: Due to rising regional and national cases related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, all Smithsonian museums, including the National Zoo, will temporarily close to the public starting Monday, Nov. 23. Free timed-entry passes are required for entry at most of our open museums, galleries, and the zoo through Sunday, Nov. 22. Outdoor gardens will remain open, no passes required. Per National Gallery website: National Gallery of Art to Temporarily Close November 21 Washington, DC—Out of an abundance of caution and in response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the region and across the nation, the National Gallery of Art will temporarily close its doors to the public beginning on Saturday, November 21. This affects both the West Building and the Sculpture Garden. Per Glenstone website: Glenstone Museum will temporarily close beginning on Wednesday, November 25. Following the standard Thursday-Sunday operating schedule, the last visitor day will be Sunday, November 22. Glenstone has canceled all scheduled visits through the end of December and will offer those individuals priority rebooking when a reopening date has been set.
