I watched this twice, mainly because the first time I hated it, and I wanted to give it another chance.

The second time was more tolerable, and make Stewart out to be something less than a mean person, although that's certainly subject to interpretation. But after seeiing it twice, yes she is a bitch at times (forgive the language, but if you see it, I promise you'll understand what I'm saying).

This is a film for Martha Stewart fans, and also for Martha Stewart haters - she winds up being somewhere in the middle of the widest pendulum swings you may have.

It is not a Michael Jordan-styled or Herb Alpert-styled vanity piece, where Stewart appears to be controlling all aspects of the documentary with her fortune. The journalism seems fair, and both sides of her are revealed.

I enjoyed it much more upon the second viewing because she seemed like she was being "interviewed" and not "immortalized" - someone please correct me if I'm wrong here - I easily could be.

I would recommend watching this if you're a fan or Martha Stewart to get a somewhat balanced picture of her as a person. She's an ambitious, detail-oriented, control-freak, yes, but she was also treated somewhat unfairly to me due to the (relatively) benign nature of her crime.

Everyone's comments here are welcome - I'm hardly an arbiter of what a "correct" documentary is although I've seen quite a few - please DO chime in with your opinions.

Cheers,
Rocks
