Pool Boy
At this point of wine-price inflation, I'm not sure there's any such thing as a pretentious $150 Burgundy, crazy as it may sound. True dat. More like a pretentious $600 Burgundy. I am with dinwiddie though on this one, if you're a wine bar, you ought to step it up a notch and get at least a few unusual/eclectic wines on the list to choose from (by the glass especially). Pool Boy
While we've veered away from buying expensive wines off of restaurant lists mostly (so, call it sub-$100, usually in the $50-$70 range), we do splurge at appropriate times, most often for wonderful Italian wines (and more often than not, Amarone).
