Cocktails for 200 on a Friday Evening

Hi,

I throw this question out the knowledgeable masses for suggestions. Looking for a venue (probably bar/restaurant) that could hold 200 guests for a cocktail party. Any ideas?? Date TBD--but a Friday eve.

Can Busboys & Poets fit that many? The food there is kinda eh these days but the drinks are good and the space is gorgeous and fun. My employer has had our holiday party there the past two years and it worked really well. I'm guessing we had ~150 people, but that's just a guess.

But seriously, with those numbers, I think that you're going to have to find a hotel/club hall and have it catered.

I was wondering about Union Station. Columbus Club is the cheapest they have and it holds 400 standing.

Rockwood Manor is available as an option in Cabin John. It is a Montgomery Parks space http://mcparkandplanning.org/parks/wehavet...wood/index.shtm

Old Ebbits Grill has a perfect venue for a group of 200 for cocktails. The atrium of the building is available, and it actually is a nice space. I have always enjoyed the food served at functions. I understand from friends who have used the space that the staff is wonderful to work with...

Depends how much cash you have and what the requirements are.
