We received a gift package from a relative in Germany and included was a bottle of Eierlikor (aka Egg Liquor). Never seen this stuff before. Can anyone tell me how it's typically served?

We received a gift package from a relative in Germany and included was a bottle of Eierlikor (aka Egg Liquor). Never seen this stuff before. Can anyone tell me how it's typically served?

Neat, at room temperature, in a liqueur glass, usually of finely cut crystal lovingly retrieved from the cabinet by the little old ladies who typically drink the stuff. It is otherwise known as Advokaat.

I think that it is sort of like rompopo or eggnog. I suggest sticking it in the back of the fridge and keeping it for T-day and Christmas holidays.
