With very few food trucks out today and none of them sounding appealing, I decided to try out the fried chicken plate from Bantam King for lunch. I got mine to go and was pleasantly surprised with how crispy the chicken was when I got back to the office ten minutes later despite having the sauce drizzled on top. The piece of chicken was enormous and along with the tofu soup and chicken drippings rice made a great lunch. Will definitely be back for more.
We visited for the first time recently and really enjoyed ourselves, but I'm kicking myself for not ordering the fried chicken. Next time!

No. MR feels more like a café. I ate at the L'Entrecote in Bordeaux several times. It is a handsome, substantial, very, very, busy restaurant. Very different from the feel of Medium Rare.
I agree - we ate at L'Entrecote in NYC last month and it was insanely busy. MR has a much more relaxed feel to it.

From 4-6 PM, Mon-Fri, China Chilcano features "Pisco Hour," with a few drink and food specials, most of which are a couple of dollars off the regular price.
You had me at Pisco Hour.

I avoid ordering any of their sandwich or rice dishes because the olive oil that they provide with bread is sooooo tasty (albeit quite salty for most palates, if not mine).
Heck, sometimes I go there just for the olive oil and bread. It's deliciously addictive.

La Colombe is opening another location, this time on I St NW near my office (and down the street from the new Compass Coffee location). (PoPville)

Another location opened on Sept. 21, 2016, at 1776 I (Eye) St, NW (via PoPville).
Yes, they did, right up the street from my office! It's a smaller 'express' location - no seating.

Although I haven't been in a while since I no longer work in Gaithersburg, I really enjoyed JDS Shanghai.

Last month we visited BlackTail, the new Cuban-themed bar in Battery Park from Sean Muldoon & Jack McGarry of Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we're always amazed at how much attention to detail Sean, Jack and their team put into creating world-class establishments.

I'm surprised that with all of the awards and accolades that Sean, Jack & Co. have racked up, there hasn't been more conversation about Dead Rabbit.
We went last month while I was in town for a conference. They recently added a full Irish Breakfast to the menu:
It was a great start to the final day of our short NYC trip. Later on that day we visited their new Cuban-themed sister bar in Battery Park called BlackTail. We absolutely LOVED our experience, and to be quite honest I like it better than the Dead Rabbit. It seemed they took what they learned creating Dead Rabbit and newly Michelin-starred GreenRiver and expanded on it.

In my experience, the quality of the navigation depends heavily on if they're using Waze.

Hi Everyone!
I'm Jennifer, and I live in Silver Spring. My husband ElGuapo and myself relocated to the area 2 years ago from our native Cleveland. I am a Podiatrist, with offices in Silver Spring and Washington DC. We've been having a wonderful time getting to know the food landscape in the area. Lately we've had fantastic meals at Jaleo and Zaytinya, but I can also be found at RFD when I want Cleveland-esque comfort food.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!
