    There's an Italian restaurant called the Boot that's amazing. The chef, Brendan Vesey, is a fan of slow food and buys most of his produce and meats from local farmers. I just checked out the restaurant online and it looks like they have bands at night, but I don't think that starts until later. I've been there once and the restaurant is pretty and not too casual and the food was to die for!!! It's in the trendy Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk which is pretty close to VA Beach.
  2. I am taking my husband to VA Beach for his 50th birthday. We also decided to go there for this visit because it is on our "wish list" of possible retirement places in the future. I've read the suggestions for good dining in the Va Beach/Norfolk area and wondered if the same choices hold true for the winter months. Or if there is an especially delicious place that would be extra special for his birthday dinner? Thanks...(we are going at the end of Feb 2008). Sue
