Last night: leftover duck became duck hash with roasted potatoes, lightly sauteed green peppers & leeks, and reduced duck stock. Topped with a poached egg & lemony italian parsley.

DC Central Kitchen needs volunteers to help recover food from "The Fancy Food Show" on July 12th, 2011, at the Washington Convention Center. The hours are 2:30pm-9:30pm. Send me a pm if you are interested. Please note, you must be at the Convention Center at 2:30, no exceptions. I hope to see you there!

Can you see who has the other 20 spots that night? We've got 2 on the waitlist, and while the computer tells me I can't have 2 more spots, maybe the scheduler person (still Carolyn?) can tell you if it's ok that we bring 12...
