Was at Ramparts last night. Absolutely packed. Had a great prime rib, others had the chicken special and the medallions of beef with Brie. Looked terrific. The prime rib was perfect. Served with mashed potatoes and really good, fresh, tasty steamed fresh veggies. Will go back again. It's bee a long time since I was there. Obviously new leadership and direction

Was an awesome time last night. Great food. Wish I had ordered the smoked tuna. Had a taste. Really good. Hope Eric puts it on the menu. Upstairs and downstairs was packed. I know Eric will be posting the results. Disclaimer here, I am his father and am very proud.

While searching the internet for a barbeque spot in southern Maryland, I happened across Randy's Ribs and Barbeque in Hughesville ... never heard of the place and I don't know southern MD. Placed an order for brisket and coleslaw for 35 adults ... it was terrific. The slaw had just the right amount of sweetness ... the brisket was thinly sliced and came with two great sauces ... hot and mild. Randy recognized me as a first time customer and through in a pan of pulled pork and a pan of ribs at no charge ... he wanted us to have a taste of everything. The food was the hit of the party. I sure wish Hughesville were closer to Alexandria ... Id be a repeat customer.

I have great memories of the popovers at the Watergate Inn ... seafood at the Market Inn ... also a restaurant located on Buzzard's Point (don't recall the name) ... the Rotunda on Capitol Hill was popular for awihle
