Off the top of my head, there's always Giant food's bakery case. That's an "easy" and boring answer though, I know. Also, I had coconut cream pie a while back at Silver Diner. It was good, but the coconut tasted like it was enhanced with coconut extract. It kind of reminded me of my high school tanning oil, w/o the sunscreen. I was a stupid teen who didn't believe in proper SPF protection, but I digress. So yes, Silver Diner's is okay.

[sorry, but I couldn't find an existing topic - I'm sure it exists somewhere] So my new obsession is with the new-ish? chocolate doughnuts at Whole Foods (or at least the big Friendship Heights WF) - these are really good and very rich. They are a cake-like donut (or at least seem so, pretty heavy) with chocolate ganache icing on top and then filled with nutella-like chocolate hazelnut cream/sauce. Really yummy for the chocoholics out there. I will say they are pretty filling - I can only eat 1 and normally I'd have no problem knocking back a handful of doughnuts. Go check them out.
KeithA,
Thank you for the suggestion! I've been having a deep chocolate craving that my KitKats haven't been able to satisfy. I will surely check these donuts out!

Looks as though you need to take a trip to King of Prussia.
Thanks for the link!!!! I'm so excited--I don't know where King of Prussia is, but my mother-in-law lives outside Carlisle, PA. Hopefully King of Prussia isn't too far from there. I'm going to look at a map right now.

Does anyone remember Cafe La Rouche in White Flint Mall? It was on the third floor, across from the movie theaters. They had the most delicious French desserts. I use to order this ginormous chocolate cake roll, filled with sweet cream. They had a vanilla version too, with strawberries and cream. They were also one of the few cafes that served floating islands. Theirs were delicious.
I also miss Gino's down on Wisconsin Avenue. My parents used to take me there a LOT when I was in grade school. The burgers were so good, I remember.
In the 70s, my mother took me to a place in Bethesda called The Treat Well, and I had a delicious hamburger there. I was in kindergarten, but I remember it was one of the tastiest burgers I had ever had. It was on Old Georgetown Road, across from what is now La Madeleine. There's a high rise there now.
Maggie's Pizza in Wheaton was another childhood memory. My parents would take us kids there for pizza, and we sat in the restaurant at a table. Sounds odd to recall, but we rarely sat in a restaurant just to eat pizza.
Also, does anyone remember Hunan on Rockville Pike? It turned into a Land Rover dealership, but I remember the minced squab soup they served there was one of the most delectable soups I had ever tasted.

Is this the same Floriana that used to be on Wisconsin Ave, just south of Fessenden in Friendship Heights?
I'd like to "second" winonelson's question please. Does anyone know if this is the same Floriana that was across from the old Outer Circle Theater on Wisconsin Avenue back in the 1990s? I had the BEST bolognese sauce EVER there. I still remember the meal--it was probably the most delicious Italian food I've ever had in a restaurant around here. Sigh.
