We want to invest in our local community this holiday season, so we collaborated with small Washington, DC-area producers to pull together two "top" holiday gift boxes featuring some of the region’s best food products. Help us support these companies by considering these gifts and passing these good ideas along:

The Tasting Box is filled with seasonal items that can be opened and shared with friends, family, clients and colleagues. All foodstuffs are made in small batches by local family farmers and producers, the box includes: an artisanal sheep’s milk cheese from Piedmont’s rolling hills, handmade crisp olive oil flatbread, extra-large gourmet peanuts, hot peach chutney, a trio of house-cured meats, and outstanding chocolates made by one of the city’s best chocolatiers.

The Breakfast Box was a big hit last year, so we brought it back, yet changed it only slightly. Three perfect ingredients are combined for a delicious breakfast treat - all made in small batches by young companies that we love. The box includes: a ginger scone mix made by one of our favorite teahouses in DC, an irresistible honey from a Maryland beekeeper, and a one pound bag of coffee - carefully roasted to the peak of perfection - by a Baltimore roasting company. All fair trade and sustainable.

Our gift boxes are beautifully wrapped by us and include a handwritten note, but because we are committed to using less, the boxes are sent without unnecessary packaging (no peanuts, bubble wrap, extra paper or layers of plastic. We use sustainable packaging products that can be easily recycled or composted.
