It exhibits tropical fruit aromas with citrus, pineapple and pear notes; on the palate, this is a light, easy drinking wine . First Course: Duck Ravioli - Pioppini Mushrooms - Parmiggiano Reggiano Left Bank Reserve, Delaplane Cellars 2010 Has aromas and flavors of blackberries, black currants, plum and tobacco together with some milk chocolate and toast. Second Course: Venison - Sour Cherries - Young Spinach - Leeks Willams Gap Reserve, 2010 Deep, dark, dense Bordeaux style blend. Dark fruit aromas together with some smoke, toast and tar. On the palate, flavors of blackberries, black cherries, raisins and plums coupled with some dark chocolate and toasty oak. Third Course: Short Ribs - Turnips - Carrots - Fingerling Potato - Beef Jus Tannat, 2010 Deep, dark, dense and full bodied red wine loaded with ripe, jammy, dark black and blueberry fruit flavors with some soft tobacco and a lingering, spicy, finish. Dessert: Apricot - Honey - Panna Cotta - Pineapple Late Harvest Estate, Petit Manseng On the palate, this sweet wine (10 ½% residual sugar) has intense flavors of sweet, ripe pineapple with notes of honey and pear coupled with some refreshing acidity.
